Hello!

I’m writing with an issue that looks similar to this one previously posted to this forum: https://eventespresso.com/topic/attendee-mover-tries-to-apply-payment-to-the-cancelled-event-2/

The student’s registration was transferred from one event which is now expired, to a new event that occurs in the future. She is attempting to pay her balance, and is getting this error message (screenshot):

Note: the event referenced in the error message (Touch Skills Training Seattle 2024) is the expired event that she transferred FROM. The ticket she is attempting to pay (Somatic Skills Online) is correctly shown on the payment form.

On the back end I noticed that the Seattle ticket had been changed from “Cancelled” status to “Waitlist” status. I changed it back to “Cancelled” and asked her to try again. She did so and got the same error, and the Seattle ticket reverted to “Waitlist” status on the back end.

This error also appears to be occurring for another event that actually is sold out. Students who initially paid a “Deposit Only” ticket, were then transferred to a full price ticket within the same datetime, so that they could pay their balance. Registration deadline is now looming, and these students who now have approved tickets are getting the sold-out error, and their old deposit tickets have been changed from “Cancelled” to “Waitlist” status.

Any insight?

Thanks
Eve

PS: If it helps you to know, this problem appears to have started after we did a recent update of Event Espresso and related plug-ins, and also disabled the Multi-Event Registration add-on, due to some problems we were having with people editing their event cart. I am going to try and re-enable Multi-Event registrations and see if that helps.
