We are able to process Amex cards when we go log into authorize.net and make a transaction…. So authorize.net is allowing us to make amex transactions.
Is it one card that you are testing with or several different cards? Have you tried using the sandbox/development server?
Also, have you tried asking Authorize.net to look into the why the cards were declined? They can usually pinpoint the exact problem with the card and why it was declined. That has helped me in the past with our website when this happens.
