I am running enrichment classes at a school. I coordinate the program and I’m building the website to register the children. I have 15 to 20 instructors who provide classes. Is there a way to put a custom PayPal button on each class to pay each of the instructors directly? We don’t want to run it through our PTA PayPal account because of the hassle and because it will make for more fees.
Event Espresso does not have a feature that integrates multiple PayPal accounts for specific events. The developers have been working on the underpinnings of Event Espresso to allow for this sort of use case in the future.
For now, there’s a feature that you might be able to use as a workaround. There’s a feature in the event editor under ‘event options’ to set an alternate registration page for an event. This would allow you to redirect the registration page to any custom page (possibly even the instructor’s site, if applicable) then copy and paste PayPal button code for each instructor for their events.
The downsides of this method are it involves more content creation and you lose the attendee management capabilities of Event Espresso.
Thanks Josh, but the whole point of using EE is to have the attendee management capabilities. As the program coordinator I have to keep track of the children. I think I’m going to use a custom email for the registration confirmation that includes a link to the individual Paypal accounts for each instructor, then I think, all I lose in EE is keeping track of who paid. I’ll send each instructor an exported list of attendees and have them tell me who paid. It’s a royal pain but I guess it’s better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
