Following on from a previous unresolved post on the same issue.
We have an event that has oversold by around 70 tickets.
Two datetimes for the event were limited to 260 tickets (all up a max of 500). The final sale count for the event when we generate a report is 574, approved and complete registrations.
There were some changes that included some fixes for the ticket reservation process after version 4.9.30.p so the older version may not have tracked reserved tickets correctly. The part I wonder about though is where you mentioned you have a max of 500 set. May I ask where was that set?
Sorry, should have said the maximum sales would have been 520. That’s from the two date-times, each of which were set with a 260 sale limit when creating the event.
We also had similar limits on the tickets for each date-time which were quantities of 245 for standard tickets and 15 for concession tickets.
One other thing you can check is if there are any customizations made to the ticket selector code, you can verify that the ticket selector will switch over to say “Sold Out” when the datetime registration limit is met. You can set up a temporary event for testing, set its ticket’s datetime reg limit to 1, then do a registration and set the registration status to Approved. At that point the ticket selector should display a sold out message.
