Overpaid Status Problem

Hello,
I am collecting state tax in PayPal and not within EventEspresso. However, now when someone completes payment in PayPal it labels their registration as “Overpaid” even though they haven’t. EventEspresso just doesn’t know this. Is there any way to offset this so that the tax can be collected within PayPal and the transaction not be marked as “Overpaid?”

Also, the “Overpayment” status is not visible to the registrant, correct?

Hi there, we do know that members are wanting to use PayPal to calculate taxes.

We’ve made some changes in the next major release of Event Espresso (4.6) to add support for this.

To answer your question, the attendee will see that they have paid and that their registration is complete. They will not receive an email that they have paid too much or a different amount.

Hi Ian, while I can’t provide an exact release date — I would say that 4.6 should be out by mid-February.
