Hello,

I’m having some trouble completing a project because my events are overlapping each other in the espresso calendar on Internet Explorer.

Here is a link to the site with the issue:

http://lsosoundhub.co.uk/events/

Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated asap.

Many thanks,

Hi Tom,

Which version of Event Espresso are you running and which version of IE is this occurring in?

Hi Dean,

I am using event-espresso.3.1.20.P and espresso-calendar.1.11. It’s happening on all versions on IE at the moment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I am unable to recreate the issue in IE 9, 8, 7 or 6 (8-6 are via a testing tool) when viewing your site.

I can’t see any general errors (i.e. javascript).

IE is of course notorious in the way it doesn’t play nice with things.

Have you tried the site on another pc running IE?

Also, if you have access to an offline testing environment, to upgrade the plugin to the latest version 3.1.27P and see how it affects it, as the plugin you’re running is quite old now.

Hi Dean,

Thanks for your advice, unfortunately it is not ideal for us to swap the plugin due to the structure of the site (except as a last resort).

Please note that the issue is definitely occurring, the best way to see it is in the month of October. In fact the issue doesn’t occur all the time – sometimes if I use the arrows to navigate between months and go from October to November then back to October the issue will occur even if October was previously rendering correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated asap bearing in mind that replacing the plugin is not ideal except as a last resort.

Hi Tom,

Yep I see the issue now, when moving back and forwards. It looks like its the calendar jquery plugin we use.

We are looking to update this in the future to a more robust system. Right now though the only real option is to install an older version of the code, you can get a link to it in this thread https://eventespresso.com/topic/multi-day-calendar-overlap-issues/
