It seems that a feature to allow customers to add variable donations to a registration is not supported (which is surprising). I really wish I would have know this before I recently started using Event Espresso 4–this is a core requirement for a registration page I am building for a non-profit I volunteer for. Given there are many threads going back several years requesting this, I am wondering what the current best work around is to achieve something close to this feature. Please let me know.

You can actually use a plugin developed by a third party to offer donation options:
