I’m getting multiple boxes of this error: “You have the correct Site License Key for Event Espresso but your current membership access only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. “
I just checked and the license key in my account is for the one I’m on. It’s the only site they have — what could be the reason for this?

It looks like you have your license also active on: [modded] . Sounds like that was your staging domain so we can reset that for free for you.
Otherwise, yes, one license per WordPress installation.

that’s the only one it’s on and the one i’m getting the message on — do i just reset it and re-enter the #?

It’s reset, so try re-entering the key.

I get this on my xampp/localhost install. I always test new plugin version compatibility and all of my php/css hacks on an actual localhost wp install before I commit changes to the live site. I’m guessing this doesn’t play nice with the key system? I could install the plugin zip files manually on the localhost, no problem.

Now I see that my registered domain is actually my local test install (because I’m still on EE 3.1.21 on my actual site the key isn’t active there), and yet the update still didn’t work. Oh well, I’ll go for the manual solution – and reset my key so it’ll eventually work on the website.

Hi Even,
While we offer support for one live site + one dev site for one license, the keys that handles the auto updates will only work on one or the other.
