a customer uses event espresso for his events and the events of his partners. The virtual assistent creates the events in the system and want to change then the author of the events. We saw now, that we can’t choose some of the authors, if the author isn’t an administrator.
What we have to do, that we can choose all users, which are created in wordpress, can be chosen?
Thanks for contacting us.

That’s the default behavior from Event Espresso. You need to install a Role and Permissions plugin to add the Event Espresso permissions to different roles. If you prefer, we can offer a solution through WordPress filters, but it involves adding a custom snippet to your theme.
thank you for your response and the solutions. I got the feedback, that we were able to choose the others, without that, that they had to be administrators. This behaviour came we one of the latest updates.
This is actually from a change within WordPress core itself and if you’d like to take a deeper look into it, its from HERE.
You can see how this changed within WP itself becuase Event Espresso uses the default WP Author metabox, so if you edit a standard WP post/page you’ll find the same users listed for author in those sections (meaning its not an issue specific to EE’s metabox).
You can use a plugin such as the one @Joao mentioned to add the ee_edit_events capabilities to your roles which you want to show in the author dropdown, or if you already have the users as authors with the edit_posts capability set on it I can give you a snippet which should allows those to show in the EE dropdown if that helps?
