Hi, I can’t seem to figure out how to create an event that occurs every Tuesday from 1-3pm for 8 weeks. I’ve looked through the documentation for multiple datetimes, and for recurring events, and can’t see how to do this. Is it possible? Thanks!

May I ask when you go in to make a new event, if you look in the “Event Tickets & Datetimes” box, do you see an “Add Datetime” button?

Yes – Name, Start, End, and Limit.

OK, you can click on that button to add more datetimes and input the information for each datetime (one for each of those 8 weeks). Later datetimes can be added by clicking on the copy icon (then you adjust the start/end dates.

Do the registrations for the first occurrence move through all 8 iterations, or do the people taking an 8-week course have to register for each of the 8 sessions?

They’re actually registering via the tickets (edited below the datetimes). So this can work either way: If you set up one ticket then they only register once. If you want to make them register for all 8 sessions, then you set up 8 tickets, then you assign each ticket to a corresponding datetime.

OK – but the display on the page shows 8 iterations of the course with separate iCal instnaces, etc.
Is there not a simple way to have one event that occurs every week for 8 weeks (or at whichever frequency one needs)?

Not yet, and should it really not display each of the datetimes instead of just one of them?

The ability to schedule one event that occurs over a number of weeks at a regular time (e.g. one event (a course in this case) that occurs every Tuesday from 7-9pm for eight weeks). I’d love to see in the datetime field options for recurrence:
– Start date and start/end time
– Days of the week (checkboxes)
– Number of weeks (number field)
e.g.
Start Date: October 10, 2017
Start Time: 7pm
End Time: 9pm
Days of the week: Tuesday
Number of Weeks: 8
The app would autopopulate the calendar with the course every Tuesday until November 28.
Allowances would have to be made for holidays, blackout dates, etc.
Does this make sense?
