One Column No Sidebar template shows a sidebar

I am using bbPress / BuddyPress to present forums. They are on the “forums” page which is set to “One column no sidebar”, but it displays with a sidebar that I want to get rid of.

Any recommendations?

The same problem appears on the References page which is entirely my own code.

Hi Bob,

bbPress does an interesting thing when it loads page templates from the theme. The answer you’re looking for is actually in the bbPress support forums:

https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/how-do-i-get-bbpress-pages-to-use-a-specific-page-template-in-wordpress/

So for example you’ll make a copy of the template-onecolumn.php, and rename that file to be bbpress.php. I think you’ll also need to make sure that the bbpress.php template is in the theme’s main folder (not in a subfolder).

Josh,

Damn, you are good! Thanks for that one. It works correctly now.
