NULL old registration information

Hi,

we have to delete personal information after 2 years but in the same time we would like to have the record for reporting purposes.
The solution could be, to change/update all personal information for specific set of events to “NULL”.

I can imagine that this would be interesting for others, too, so I was wondering, if you have a solution or an example as a starting point for that. What would be the best solution in this case.
