I got a notification that my license is being used on more than 1 domain and I am trying to look into that issue, how would i go about fixing it or can someone look into it for me?

Hi,

I’ve looked into this and as of right now ee.com is getting pinged from 4 sites using the same key. 1 site has a domain and 3 are just IP addresses. I’ll follow up with a private reply with a list.

If you’re not sure how there are 3 IP addresses that have your site on them you could contact your host and/or your DNS provider and they can help you get this straightened out.

Josh thanks is for the swift reply, the way my hosting is set up is I have an ec2 instance with a load balancer and cloudfront in my dns settings my A records point to the cloudfront cdn which then point to the load balancer which then the load balancer points to the ec2 instance, and the IPs belong to the ec2 and load balancer and the inactive one is a subnet that I have to chose when setting up the cloudfront cdn. Do you know of anyway to fix this? When I installed the ee plugin I did it through the domain.com should I disblebthen access the website via the ec2 ip and activate the plugin there? It just seems to be picking up the IPs that it’s being routes through. Thanks for your help

I will be going through the Amazon Web Services docs today to make sure I didn’t do anything wrong

One thing to know that may help is the Plugin Updates license key check makes use of what’s set for the the Site’s URL (site_url()). So if in this environment WP is configured to have the Site URL set dynamically for each site via the WP_SITEURL constant or some other means instead of the database option, then that could be what’s tripping this up.
