When I select one of my venues and go to it, there’s nothing there. i expected it to at least show the address and the map, and to be able to include the upcoming classes at that venue.
I also tried to use the code on this page to change the name venue to locations, but it didn’t work, I just got 404 errors (I did save the permalinks immediately after activating the snippet.) https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-custom-post-types/#venue_slug
Can you try viewing the venue page with a different theme activated (like one of the “twenty”-something themes that are installed with WordPress?
The code not working might be related to the code not being added to the site correctly. You can follow this guide that shows how to add code snippets to a plugin:
I tried the 2018 theme and still there is nothing there, for example: /venues/greer-paul-calvo-training-center/
This shows the Location name, the map and the upcoming classes links: /venue-category/greer/
but clicking on the name of the location gets me the page title, and nothing else.
I’m using Beaver Themer, but I’ve tried it without that and the result is the same.
The first thing to do is deactivate the Twitter and Facebook open graph options in Yoast SEO.
If the above does not help, you could try deactivating all plugins besides Event Espresso while switching to the default twenty* theme. Something to appears to be stripping away the venue information that gets injected via the WP the_content filter.
Plugins have the ability to do that, and if you find that the venue information displays after deactivating all plugins you can reactivate them one by one until you find the culprit.
