Just spent a few hours trying to resolve this issue with 4+ WPEngine support techs and mining through hundreds of threads + forums on the Googles. I followed the guide found here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-wpengine-hosting-event-espresso/ but none of the options fixed the problem on my site.

I nearly gave up and switch back to my previous host until Sarah from WPEngine came back with a fix! She said she just had to exclude the PHPSESSION cookie for the site. Can’t guarantee this will solve your problem but if you’ve followed that guide above and are out of options, request that your WPEngine support tech add PHPSession cookie to the exclusions list.

Hi Alex,

That’s interesting and quite frankly we’re not aware of WPEngine caching the PHPSESSID. Did they happen to mention where they have this information documented?
