Our event was working fine and suddenly potential registrants began receiving the “Nothing in Your Event Queue” error that has been addressed numerous times on this forum. Our situation:

While registration is open for our annual conference, we are reluctant to update EE or WP (or other plugins for that matter) for fear of breaking something. So, no updates were done between the time it worked and the time it didn’t unless something updated automatically without us knowing.

We had no caching of any kind installed. And after reading through other posts, I followed the recommendations I found there and contacted our host (MidPhase) and they informed me they do not use server-side caching.

After ensuring our settings were as I think they should be and not finding any noticeable reason why registration would have suddenly stopped working, I did the following:

I updated WordPress, EE, and all other plugins, checking to see if the error was fixed after updating each individually.

With it still not working, I installed and activated the WP Super Cache plugin, and then added
/registration-checkout/
/transactions/
/thank-you/
/registration-cancelled/
/events/
/venues/
to the settings so those pages would not be cached. I cleared the cache, though there were no pages cached, I believe.

And I have looked at each plugin we have activated to see if any of them have a caching feature that I was unaware of, but did not find anything cache related.

At this point, I am stumped. I do not know what else I can or should do. Any help you can provide to rid us of this error is appreciated.

Update:
While waiting for a response, I continued to read previous forum posts to find further ideas I can try or troubleshoot. I was reluctant to try to deactivate/etc. plugins as we have quite a few of them installed and none of them to my knowledge were updated between registration working and not working.

But, I have nothing but time today, so I went ahead and began deactivating them in groups. After deactivating the first 10 (I chose them based on importance – or lack of, actually), and sure enough, registration worked normally.

Then I began reactivating them one-by-one. When I got to the second-to-last one, registration broke. I reactivated it, registration broke. I deactivated and reactivated the remaining one. Registration still worked. Reactivating the potential culprit once again broke registration. So, I have left the plugin deactivated, and the problem has been resolved.

The question still remains though, what about this plugin is causing the issue? The plugin is WP Statistics.

Anything I can do to find out what the conflict is and how to resolve it in order to continue to use the plugin along with EE?

Hi Fred,

You could try going through the WP Statistics plugin’s settings (especially if those had been changed recently) and try changing some of the settings to see if they have any affect on the registration process. I actually installed the WP Statistics plugin on my site and didn’t get any errors with an event registration, so there may be something unique about your site that’s triggering the conflict.
