Hello, I am currently getting a ‘nothing in the event queue’ error.
I created a test event and tried purchasing a free ticket. When one selects a number of tickets and register now it switches to the registation check out and says nothing in the queue.
I turned on Debug and as far as I can tell it doesn’t show much.
I have not used EE since last summer but have upgraded EE and WP each time updates are posted.
Last year I worked with Lorenzo to switch the order that my events were showing up in.
And another time to setup child questions for adult ticket purchases.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
btw my ISP told my to turn down the heartbeat setting of the new WP. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

Hi Daniel,
If the heatbeat API has been disabled it should not normally effect the checkout page, but it can cause issues with the thank-you page.
Are you running any caching plugins?
Does your host run any server side caching?
Which host are you using?

Tony,
I checked that I do not have any visible caching setup. I tried disabling plugins one at a time to see if they are causing issues.
I followed the steps here and noticed my session id is changing every page.
Should I get with my host to see if they can address that?

Yes. See if they can shed any light as to why that is happening.
I would recommend creating a site backup before making any changes (just to be safe) at least a database backup, using a plugin such as BackUpWordPress.
Then you could also try temporarily switching to one of the default themes such as twentyfourteen and confirm if the same happens, if so temporarily disable all non EE plugins and retest again, does the same happen?
This will rule out a plugin (or the theme) doing something unexpected.
