Turns out, I misunderstood the issue my client was having. (I posted recently.) This is the problem: “There is no information getting back from Paypal confirming payment with event espresso, the registration shows as incomplete and it does not cut off registrants.” Currently, they are using EE lite. Is this feature only available with the paid version(s)?

The feature should work with either version. There can be multiple points of failure between PayPal and the web server running Event Espresso. There are a few troubleshooting steps that can be found in the lite version’s Help/support menu under the FAQ section. Look in yoursite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=support#faq
