Hi,
I am using Event Espresso plugin EE4 and one more plugin that is “Instructor Role” which is creating new instructor role. I need instructor to access events as well. I used many plugins like user role, members, and capabilities. these did not work.
I found “Roles and Permissions Basic Add-on” form your add-on for it. But, this is compatible with EE3 version.
So, can you suggest is there any hook(filter) to get access for events for institutor role.

Thanks in advanced.

Hi there,

You don’t need a hook for this, you need to assign the correct capabilities to your Instructor role that will allow them access to the correct areas of EE.

EE has its own capabilities system built into core that you can use, take a look here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/event-espresso-4-roles-permissions/

I’ve also created a plugin that gives you an example the capabilities your can assign to 2 roles you can use within EE, take a look here:

THe ‘Event Organizer’ role should only have access to their own events, the ‘Events Manager’ role should have access to all of EE but nothing else within WordPress.

(Note the plugin should be used as an example, you may need to add/remove additional capabilities to suit your needs, you can use User Role Editor to do this on whichever role you are using)
