No ticket needed for event

Hi. I’m relatively new to event espresso. I am creating an event for a client which requires no ticket. It’s free for the community. I see where I can create a “free ticket” but I don’t want people to think they even need one. How can I turn that feature off on my event page?

Hi, you won’t be able to start a registration without a ticket / pricing option (even if its free).

Here is how I would handle this.

1) Create the free ticket via the event editor. Click on the gear (advanced options) icon and then place a checkmark for the required option.

That step will automatically select a quantity of 1 on the single event page.

2) Use a gettext filter to change the messaging from tickets to registrations:
