one of our user had the following problem:
“Once I enter the payment stage, I am unable to enter Dr. B’s mailing address & credit card information in order to finalize the registration”
The strange thing is that, when we tested from ours systems here, it worked. Also, one of my colleagues tried form offsite and it worked. Please look. our weblink is http://www.peri.org and to register a sample course, here is the link-http://peri.org/event-registration/?ee=59. I am using WordPress 3.5 and Event Espresso – 3.1.29.1P. Thanks.

Hi Varinder,

I was able to register and enter info into the payment fields with no problems.

What I would suggest is ask the person who had the problem to go to supportdetails.com and have them report back with the specifics on the browser and OS they are using. Then we can investigate from there.

Thanks Josh,
I agree, but the other user did have problems. She was not sure about the specifics, but she thought it was Internet Explorer 8 and windows OS.

They can get the specifics by going to supportdetails.com and they can even click a button on that site that will send you the details.

I just talked to her and that is the only information that she could give. She did not have time to do supportdetails.com. So, that is only what we have. I am sorry.

Hi Variander,

I ran a few more tests and can report that the issue isn’t so much IE8, but IE8 in compatibility mode, and that something in the active WordPress theme hides the form fields when in IE8 compatibility mode. You might be able to make some adjustments to the server or the theme so that it forces IE8 to not use compatibility mode on your site. Here’s a related topic over at stackexchage:

Thanks a lot Josh. You are very helpful.
I have asked our new user, who has the same problem to try it on Firefox or chrome. That would confirm that it is an IE compatibility mode issue. In the meantime, can you guide me to turn off compatibility mode in wordpress or event espresso?

Hi Varinder,

I really don’t think that there is anything WordPress or Event Espresso has any control over. I am pretty sure that this is something you will need to consult your theme developer about.
