How do I offer discounts on tickets?

Hi I have setup my site (www.aldboroughfestival.co.uk) I have not actually put the ticketing live yet but it is running the latest version of Events Espresso and Multiple Events. What we want to be able to do is offer people a 10% discount if they spend over a certain amount (£150) on the evening concerts or offer people a small discount if they buy tickets to all four monrning concerts that we have scheduled. Is there any way of doing this within events espresso? Thanks Rupert

Hi Rupert,

We currently have 3 methods of discounting:

Promotional Codes – reuseable codes that offer a flat or percentile discount.

Social Codes (Groupon style) – one use codes that offer a 100% discount.

Volume Discounts – offers a flat or percentile discount based on either the number of registrants (tickets) or the amount in money spent

For your situation I would say the Volume Discount is the best option. However, there is one drawback, currently when using Volume Discount you can only use one setting, so either discount on money (spends over £150) OR on tickets (register for four events).

We are looking to improve on that in the future.

Of course you can use Promotional, Social and Volume discounts at the same time if desired.
