Want to re-create the personal information group to add as an additional question that will trigger an email and add name to database. Specifically the locked fields in the manage questions area.
Where can I find the code that generates the personal information block. I want to re-create a block similar to this that I can add to personal information to collect an additional guest name and email address while adding them to the database and generating another ticket for that name.
If there is an easier way you suggest to add code to personal info for an additional guest that will generate ticket please let me know the code and where to put it. I want to create a ticket that allows one price for two people, and both names need to appear in the database. Basically a two for one price ticket. There is no way to default the system to do this as additional attendee adds an additional price.

Hi Carlton,
So to summarise you want a 2 for 1.
To do as you actually asked, to amend the personal questions and add the user to the database, would require a fundamental re-write of the plugin code, so really it is not a viable option.
The only way that this, currently, can be achieved is to create an event where maximum 2 people can be registered (max attendee number in the event options) and add a category to the event. Make sure that you have set the event to get additional attendee data either the personal info or the full questions if there are custom questions.
Then using the Volume Discount add on (which can be found in the Pre Release channel in your account page) set a 50% discount for that category.
This will mean that the user can have two attendees for the event and get it for the price of one, and you get the attendee data saved to your database, and both attendees can have tickets.
For the next major Event Espresso version, 4.0, we will be looking at improving the promotion/discount features. I believe we have added a note to our feature request list for a 2 for 1 type deal. If/when that will be implemented is currently unknown.
