I’m getting bogged down with the functionality of the Event Overview Page. I have a large history of events in my db and actively (daily) work within my active events which of course are the last pages of 16 pages! It’s cumbersome and inefficient to have to filter or retrieve the pages that I want every time I edit a class or search for attendee information. For instance if I delete a class or edit some attendee information and then need to go to the next class on the list I have to go back to the beginning of the overview…or it naturally spits me back to the very first page which are classes from other a year ago and my previously set filters are gone. Is there a way to have my active classes show on the front page all the time, for instance to have the newest show first and the oldest to show on the later pages? Or for a filter to stick without me having to reset it over and over? Or perhaps for me to archive old events but still be able to access them so that the amount of pages I have available at any given time is under 5 therefore showing up without needing filters? Hope this makes sense.

Also I’m trying to filter my “open” events since these are the ones I actively work in. Does “open” equate to “active”? It seems like it should but it’s not working for me. I have numurous active events open as of today and when I filter by “active” nothing comes up on a list.UGH! |

Hi there, I’m sorry for the trouble. There’s a ticket for this that has work in progress. I’ll update the ticket with what you’ve posted here. Thanks for the valuable feedback. With the open events not showing, you might need to retrieve the next set of 50 events if the active events aren’t in the first 50 results. This is one of the issues that’s being worked on. Hope that helps! |

Not the news I wanted to hear. 🙁 I have 181 events as of today so progressing to the next 50 does me not a thing at all. It’s more time efficient to back up on the browser to edit events that are next to each other in the db vs. going back to the initial overview, filtering, and clicking on the course. The time suck is crazy. I love that I can access attendee info but it’s crazy moving around with the events you need at the end of 16 pages worth of data!!!! When is the expected release for these improvements? |

PS–while the programmers are at it, searching for an attendee by name would be an awesome function! |

Hi, I have added a ticket for the search by attendee name, can’t say if/when it will be introduced, but I was surprised to see it wasn’t part of the live search already! |
Hi there, Unless I’m thinking of something else, you can search by attendee in the current version of Event Espresso. Here’s a screenshot that shows how to use the live search feature from the attendee reports to search by attendee name: |
