We need to our registrants to be able to purchase multiple tickets at one time. We will have two different payment levels (Adult & Child) be using PayPal as the payment gateway.

This is what I’m thinking of for the basic registration page (NO CART INTERFACE) for the primary registrant:

1) Provides contact info (name, email, address, phone)

2) Where did you learn about this event?

3) Do you want future news?

4) Number of each ticket type required (Adult and Child)

5) Enter promo code

Questions

1) Will the reg form above be easy to implement?

2) Can we have a Family promo code to allow only the Child level tickets to be reduced by 100%?

3) If we use ticketing, how would the tickets work for multiple attendees? Would we get a ticket for each attendee?

Hello,

Let’s go through your questions.

1) Will the reg form above be easy to implement?

Sort of. The building of that form is really easy. There are two elements of it that may not be straightforward. The “Do you want future news?”. We offer a Mailchimp add on that will automatically send the email address to the Mailchimp service and after that the user will receive a confirmation email from Mailchimp. Currently there is no front end opt out if the add on is turned on and selected for the event.

Secondly, the number of tickets required is possible, but would require the Multi Event Registration add on, which is in effect a cart system.

2) Can we have a Family promo code to allow only the Child level tickets to be reduced by 100%?

Not at this time no.

3) If we use ticketing, how would the tickets work for multiple attendees? Would we get a ticket for each attendee?

Depends on how the event is set up. If you require information about the additional attendees (the children for example) then they will be set up as individual attendees and as such a separate email and ticket is sent out. If you just request the Primary Attendees (the buyer of tickets) details then a ticket is issued with X number on it so it can be scanned X number of times.

Let me know if you have any further questions or want clarification on anything.

Thanks Dean.

One last question – I remember from the past that you used to do custom dev work. If so, would the coupon code be doable? Who can I speak to about costs?

Hi,

You can request custom work via this form https://eventespresso.com/contact/customization-request-form/

There is a queue for work at the moment, I think the earliest to start work would be mid to later March but sales/dev who will respond can give you a more accurate timescale.
