Multiple Paypal accounts?

I am using WordPress 3.5.1 Event Espresso 3.1.29.1.P I am wonder if Event Espresso can be set up to take multiple email address for paypal. The idea is I have developed a non-profit website which they have multiple committee groups which they have their own events and paypal accounts. These groups are separated in Event Espresso by Event category. Meaning each Committee has its own Event Espresso Category. Now I would like each event to have its own paypal email address so when someone adds or pays for the event, paypal know how to separate them. I have already created the Parent Paypal account with Each Child acocunt being the committee child account. Hope that made sense. And I hope that its possible. PS… PayPal does have what is called a Parent / Child account, this allows you to have one master account and multiple child accounts. The master account would have the financial information on it (bank account and credit card), and the child account would be set up to receive money. The money would be swept into the master account each night and can be withdrawn to the bank account on file.

Hello,

At this time, this functionality isn’t available in Event Espresso. It is something that we have had requests for and hope to implement in the future.

I will add your vote to that feature request.

One more question…

I read in another post that there is a way itemized multiple events itemized for the standard PayPal gateway.
This was suppose to be implemented in the latest version… was it? I dont see a way of doing it. Please adivse.

Hi Carlos,

The post that you linked to was about the issue that when you checked out at PayPal, it would send “Tickets” as the item_name for all events that were in the cart. There was a change in 3.1.22 that made it so each event name gets sent to PayPal as an item_name with the attendee name included in the item name. You don’t need to do anything to make that happen, it does this by default.

Ok.

I noticed on the CSV or Excel file there is the name of attendee but I also noticed their is the Item Id field that just says Shopping Cart for all transactions. Could I use that column or field to populate it with what category the event was in? I am really hoping this could be possible?

If I need to modify PHP files which files could they be?

Thank you!

This would most likely need to be modified in the includes/functions/export.php file. Keep in mind that we cannot support any modifications you make to the Event Espresso core plugin and that any code changes you make should be done with the assistance of the custom files add-on otherwise your changes will be overwritten when you update the plugin.
