Hi there, I just updated to the current Event Espresso and am using WP 3.5.1. I had a Multiple Events page that gave viewers the option to select multiple events to add to cart using the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode. Now it just shows the code. I have tried adding [RAW] tags and also disabled my visual editor, a feature in the WeaverII theme. Am I missing something basic? This was working before the updates… Thanks in advance! http://www.divorcece.com/event-registration/ Thanks in advance!!

Hi,

Can you try deactivating and reactivating the plugin please?

Thanks Dean,
Just activated and reactivated the Event Espresso and MER plugins. No change yet.

Ok, was worth checking.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level.

On it’s way. Thanks Dean

Hi

Ok, the problem was that you had two pages:

Multiple Registration – with a slug of event-registration
Registration – with a slug registration.

Both contained the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode which is not allowed.

So as you linked the Multiple Registrations I have left that one and removed the short code from the other page. So its working now!

Thanks Dean.

Before the upgrade I was able to link individual events to the registration page by proving the url of the event on our home page AND list them all at once on our Multiple Registration page. Does this make sense? Now it is one or the other. Not sure what changed? I must be missing something!

Also just noticed that the radio button for multiple attendees has shown up in the shopping cart even though I have my events set for “do not allow for group registrations”. Do I need to start a new thread?

Hi Pegotty,

If I’m understanding this question:

I was able to link individual events to the registration page by
proving the url of the event on our home page AND list them all at
once on our Multiple Registration page. Does this make sense? Now it
is one or the other.

I think what you’re asking is whether you can list out events on another page than the main registration page, and the answer is yes, by using the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode. But if I’m not understanding your question, please give us a few more details and we’ll help you sort that one out.

With the radio buttons, they were removed because they did not work, so whether you set group registrations to yes or no, there will be a quantity selector for the different price options.

Thanks so much Dean! [EVENT_LIST] is what was needed, sorry to make you work so hard!

Problem 2 for clarification: I wish to get rid of the radio buttons all together, since only one person can register at a time. Is this possible?

Thanks again!

Hello there,

If you are on a current version, you should see a dropdown box that allows you to select the number of tickets you want. In using MER, there isn’t a way to get rid of the quantity selector. So, if the registrant needs only 1 ticket, they will need to drop the box down and select 1.
