No messages received by event admin.

Seems like this is a common problem but realised that I have not been receiving the messages to indicate people have registered for a while. All the messages to the event admin are listed in ‘message activity’ as ‘sent’ but I have not received them. They are also not in any junk folders. I have tried changing setting to sending ‘on same request’ and doing several test registrations. Again shows in ‘message activity’ but still no emails received by event admin. Is this due to a recent update.

Hi there,

This is usually due to the ISP. What happens is the Event Espresso plugin hands off the email to the WordPress wp_mail() function, when then hands off the email to the mail server. If your ISP is blocking email from your mail server, you won’t get the email.

We recommend using a transactional email service to ensure the email is delivered:

Alternatively, you could also use a gmail account and configure a plugin like the WP Mail SMTP plugin to send the emails.

Ok thanks. Seems to be working now that I have changed to my webmail for notification.
