No messages are being sent on registration

I’ve just upgraded Event Espresso to the latest version (along with plugins) and I’m running the latest version of wordpress.

I’ve had 2 registrations today, but no emails have been sent by the system.

When I look in the Message Activity tab, I can see 4 messages queued in there with “no recipient” in the to field.

Any idea what’s going on here and how to fix it?

Hi,

Thanks for that screenshot. The messages system generates messages based on traffic on the front-end of the site.

Is this site a newer site where there are a small amount of visitors each day?

If so, then try these steps:

1) Manually click to generate each of those messages

2) After each click, you’ll see the more messages appear as they are generated. Then click on the icon to immediately send them out and you then those messages will go green.

3) Go to Event Espresso –> Messages –> Settings. Scroll down and look for the generate and send messages option and set it to on the same request.

Then save changes to update the settings for the messages system.

Your next registration will then send out emails immediately rather than being queued for generation.

We’re not so new, but it’s a high value, lower volume business – we only typically get 2-5 bookings per week.

I’ve done as you’ve suggested.

Hopefully this will resolve the issue.

You’ll be able to find out if it resolves the issue by doing a test registration.
