We had a test event up and working and all was good. But know that we created the real event it wont show the green thumbs up or red thumbs down.
It seems to be checking in the ticket but we have no way to verify if there ticket is valid or not.
Any recommendations would be awesome.

Thanks,
Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Are you in the same location as when you were testing? What is the internet service like? What happens when you try to scan? Anything at all? Any errors?

Yes I am in an area with a reliable connection. Furthermore it has been verified in two different locations on 3 different devices.

BTW it also worked on a test event on Tuesday night.

Hi Stuart,

Has anything on the site changed since the time it was working?

One possible thing to check is if there is a caching plugin active, you can check to see if there is a setting that will let you cache the database. If this the case, and the database caching feature is enabled, I would recommend testing the scanner with the database caching feature disabled.

Nothing much has changed on the site its really a very simple site and the only changes made where to pages and CSS stylesheets. When you mention a cacheing plugin are you talking about a plugin designed to cache the databases, or a plugin that might be caching and therefore effecting the EE databases. I could try disableing all the plugins minus the absolutely needed ones.

Ok I have honed into the issue.
I created a test event and tested the ticketing and everything worked fine. ie I got a thumbs up and down accordingly.

So the question is… is it possible to take the attendees and copy them to a new event and still reflect proper payment details and still retain all links in emails sent for registration as well as be able to use the original QR codes?

Hi Stuart,

I followed up with you in the other post. I’m going to suggest that we look into what’s causing this one event not to work. It also may be that you’re running an older version of the ticketing add-on and/or the mobile app api.

The caching plugins may also be causing an issue, so if that’s the cause and it isn’t addressed, the new event may stop working when you try to scan tickets after some time.
