No error pop appears when the user clicks the Register button but does not select a ticket quantity. I would set the ticket to required, but for some events I offer multiple tickets so I cannot make them all required. I am not getting the pop up when my ticket qty is set to 0 and I click the register button. The page just reloads. I am using the Kalium theme.

Hi Cara,

I checked the site that’s registered to your support license key and the error message displays there:

https://www.evernote.com/l/AATXK3J_3uZO9Y9yDYvSSQXu3OpYpYdIyDQ

Did you need help with another site that has a support license?

Hi there,

Your site is throwing a large number of errors, most of the resources loading on your pages are returning error 503, this is how your site is loading for me currently – http://take.ms/FxoMM

If resources aren’t loading and/or causing JavaScript errors on the page it can prevent that popup from loading.

503 errors normally mean your server is running under heavy load and can’t keep up with the demand.

Is your host having issues currently?

Hello – thanks for your help. I am developing a new site using a staging site on godaddy and that is where my error is not showing. This is one of the events I have on my staging site if you want to try it there.

Hi Cara,

Does the error pop appear if you temporarily switch to another theme? If so, then the current theme may not be allowing the loop_start hook to fire. The error pop gets hooked on the loop_start WordPress hook.

Ohh – let me try it and I will see. :)bvg

Ok – I was finally able to test this and it works fine using a different theme. So, I am assuming I need to talk to the people who created my theme to see if they can help me? Is there something specific I can tell them? Thanks!

You can ask them if the theme is coded to WordPress standards and allows the
loop_start WordPress hook to fire when the page loads.
