No confirmation mail upon registration, does work from dashboard

Dear EE-specialists,

I have searched the forums quite a bit, but cannot find a solution to my problem. The topic title says it all: if someone registers for an event and completes payment, no confirmation e-mail is sent. However, if I use the Dashboard-link to manually resend these confirmation mails, it works perfectly.

Settings are specified below. I’m using version 3.1.30.5P with Pronamic’s iDeal payment gateway.

General settings:

Send payment confirmation e-mails?: yes

Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?: no

Use fancy email headers?: no

Event settings:
Send custom confirmation emails for this event?: yes

Use a pre-existing email?: Voorverkoop ticketsysteem

Furthermore, I checked for conflicts in my custom functions. However, disabling those (uploading an empty custom_functions.php file) does not solve the problem.

Curious to your thougts, and looking forward to your help!

Hi Bram,

It’s likely the Pronamic IDEAL plugin. We didn’t develop it, we do not support it, and we’ve seen similar issues when other folks have tried using it with Event Espresso.

One way to work around the issue is use one of the included Event Espresso gateways, or set:

Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?:

to yes. The Pronomic Ideal plugin likely isn’t firing the Event Espresso email hook when a payment is received.

Problem was solved by Pronamic, in version 1.2.5 of their plugin.
