We recently updated to version 4.9.39.p on one of our sites and it seems to have broken our events list. The shortcode we’re using is
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS sort=ASC]
and the page currently loads nothing except the text
No configuration section has been provided while attempting to save "_Config". EE_Config - _verify_config_params - 555
This is on the live site. We have a staging site where the plugin is at 4.9.26.p and the same page there seems to be perfectly fine. I’ve looked at previous forum posts on this issue and one suggests changing the slug of the events list page, which we’ve tried to no avail.
If we can’t find a solution to this soon we’ll have to restore from a backup. Thanks so much for your help.
Regards,
Brian

You can also try the release candidate for Event Espresso 4.9.40.p. The changes in version 4.9.39.p turned out to be not compatible with some WordPress themes where they process shortcodes on the backend.
The release candidate was actually released last week. You can go to your WordPress > Plugins page on your website and there will be an update available for Event Espresso 4 there.
