No Add Datetime button for Events

I’m trying to add an event that runs for multiple days. I see the how-to here but my version of EE4 does not have those buttons. See screenshot here.

I’m pretty sure I’m not missing an add-on. I purchased a full license. What am I missing?

Hi there,

The screenshot you added looks like you are running Event Espresso Decaf rather than regular.

If you go to Dashboard -> Plugins

Find Event Espresso, does it show as Decaf?

Thanks Tony. It is not Decaf – we did try that out before we ordered Event Espresso 4 though. Here’s the version we are running: Version 4.9.52.p. I see there is an upgrade available for Event Espresso, maybe that will fix it? Or is there something we need to uninstall for Decaf? I don’t see it in my plugins. Odd that it would hang on after we upgraded.

Hello,

Your original screenshot looks like Event Espresso decaf. If you see an upgrade prompt, then go ahead and upgrade to transition to the current premium software.

Do you then see the date time buttons in the event editor?

I just upgraded to 4.9.54.p and it still looks the same. Are you telling me Event Espresso Decaf is still showing up even though I upgraded to EE4? That’s unsettling. How can we remove Decaf? We are currently promoting the classes on the site so I want to ensure we keep functionality.

If the version number is showing as 4.9.xx.P then you have the full version of the plugin installed, but the screenshot your showing is the Decaf datetime editor.

You do not need to do anything to disable/revmoe decaf you apparently have the full version.

Do you have FTP access to the site?

If so can you take a look in wp-config.php and look for something like:

define('EE_DECAF', true);

Or, if you are unsure, send all of the requested login details here:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

I’ll take a quick look for your (I won’t make any changes, just look over the site and wp-config file)

I looked at wp-config.php and did not find anything with EE_DECAF, or EE at all. Perhaps I need to send you login details. The hosting account is shared among multiple websites so I’ll figure out a way to get you the login for only cornerstonepoweryoga.

Okay, logins sent.

You should be able the add datetimes and additional tickets now. The default capabilities hadn’t been added to the user roles yet, but they’re there now. If you ever run into that issue again, you can go to Event Espresso > Maintenance > Reset, then click on the Reset Capabilities button.
