New website address

I’m moving my event to a new site with a new name and branding. The new site won’t accept the support key. Please advise as to the best course of action.

Yep, tried adding the key from there.

It says it’s not active on any sites, but when I add to the new site it remains red. Previous website is inactive with no plugin installed.

Hi there,

It sounds like something on the site is blocking or changing the request for EE to call home.

To test this I used your key on one of my test sites and the domain instant assigned to that key on your account (I’ve reset the license key to remove this).

What is the domain of the new site? I’ll check our logs on the license server to see what is coming through on the request.

Oh! I see why you’re having issues.

Your site is running EE5.0.0.beta.001, beta versions don’t link to your license key and that’s now a rather outdated version.

Event Espresso 5 is now live, switch out that version for the latest release version to get all of the latest fixes.

Download the latest version of 5.0.19 from your account page.

Then go to Dashboard -> Plugins.

De-activate the current version of EE5 you have active.

Then go to Add new plugin at the top.

Select the .zip you just downloaded, install and activate.

Now add your license key to that version and it will link to your domain.
