I going to use EE on a new website but a developer told me that I might want to wait until the new version of EE is released. Can you please tell me when that will be?

Guess I’m just looking for a list of what is going to be added in the new edition and when it will be released. Then I can decide to wait for it or not!

Hi Alex,
In most cases, the new version will have fewer features. It’s essentially a re-write and the features that are currently in 3.x will be migrated over to 4.x in stages. The big changes are more under the hood, however the registration process is going to a single page checkout. Those with support licenses can download the beta now, we don’t have a solid release date yet. You can read more about 4.0 here:
