I bought a license from the plugin “Event Espresso” and need to translate it to Brazilian Portuguese.
To facilitate the work, I downloaded the files “event_espresso-pt_BR.mo” and “event_espresso-pt_BR.po.”
After that, according to the instructions I found on the forum, I used the software “Poedit” to assist me in translations that still needed (“Add to cart” is an example).
After that, I saved the changes and I uploaded the two new files to the folder “/ wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/languagens”, replacing the previously existing files.
Also, at root, changed the configuration file “wp-config.php”, changing the definition of the language to “define (‘WPLANG’, ‘pt_BR’);
Despite all this, the new translation does not work. What I have on my screen is the old translation. I’ve already emptied the cache on my computer. It did not help.
Starting with Event Espresso 3.1.30, you can copy your modified .mo file to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages and it will override the default language file.
