Hello – Using WordPress 3.7.1.
EE Version 3.1.35.2.P Business License
New installation
Registration link: http://inursecoach.com/event-registration/?ee=1

Followed the Themeroller installation procedures
Was able to select the new theme in Template Settings; with “Use Themeroller Style Sheets” selected as “Yes”
However the new style sheet is not working
Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hi Brandie,

Can you let us know which Themeroller theme is selected? Right now it looks like it’s loading iNurse, which looks like a custom theme to me.

What might be happening is the browser that you’re viewing the page with needs to have its cached cleared and the since the WP installation has the W3 total cache plugin installed, the registration pages need to be added to the do not cache list. Making sure that the registration page isn’t cached will help you avoid other issues because Event Espresso needs to serve its pages dynamically. When they are served as cached static files it can cause issues like what you’re seeing now (an older version of the page) and potentially cause failures when people register.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Yes, I have loaded a custom theme called iNurse. I have checked the site on Firefox, Chrome and Safari and still have the same result.

Page cache is enabled in W3 Total Cache. Do I need to select “purge from cache” on the Event Registration page? Will that “disable” that page permanently?

To exclude the pages from W3 Total Cache go to Performance -> Page Cache. Then Scroll down until you find ‘Never cache the following pages’.

Then if everything within EE is default add:

event-registration
thank-you
transactions

To that field and save the settings. You may also need to purge the cache by clicking the ’empty cache’ buttton.

Hi Brandie,

I checked again and it may be an issue where the theme is loading but there is another Themeroller theme that is overriding it. Here’s a screenshot of the page source that shows where the custom Themeroller theme’s stylesheet is loading up. Do you see on the very next line that the ui-darkness theme is loading from Google’s content delivery network? My guess would be there’s another plugin that’s loading up the ui-darkness theme.

For the w3 total cache, there is an “Advanced” settings box on its “Page Cache” settings page. It’s there where you will find the option to add pages to the do not cache list. Here’s a screenshot showing what it looks like with Event Espresso’s default pages added.

Thank you Tom and Josh – I appreciate your support with this! I have added the 3 pages to the “never cache the following pages” in Page Cache settings and I have selected “empty all caches” from the Performance dashboard. I am still seeing the darkness theme.
How do you recommend I remove the reference to the other theme that is showing up from Google’s CDN?

It could be loaded within any Plugin or the Theme.

Personally I would start with the themes functions.php file and look for anything relating to jquery-ui-style-css or googleapis

Could also be within the themes header.php file.

If nothing is found try disable all plugins and activate each one by one and reloading the page until the darkness theme re-appears then at least you’ll know which plugin is loading it.
