The fix was to stop using a UTC offset and instead pick a city for time zone. This seems to resolve the problem, but I just discovered that now my event is not showing up at all, even though on the back end, everything looks good–including the dates. (Status is “upcoming”.) The strangest part is that it works when I view the site on my computer, but does not work on any other computer or device.
What next? At least when the dates were messing up, I could tell what the problem was.
Is this the URL where you’re not seeing the event information? If so, I can recommend switching the iframe embed code out and replace with a ticket selector shortcode.
I deleted that text and added the above. It resulted in a better looking Event Frame on my site, but it’s still only showing up on my computer. Accessing the page from other computers and devices just gives a square with “View Details”, but nothing else.
Since you’re only accessing the page while logged in to the site, that’s a good indication that the event is either an unpublished draft or has a Private published status. Can you check to see if the event is published? Your other event on that site is published:
Well, that explains it. At some point in trying to solve this, I went nuclear and started a whole new event page with the same information. Two different event IDs, and when I pasted that shortcode I was using the old ID.
It looks like everything is good now.
Thanks for your help!
