I received a few emails from PayPal about needing to update the PayPal (Advanced checkout that includes PayPal smart button, Venmo etc). The info looks sketchy and unofficial. Any official suggestions on this? Which Plugin do you suggest?

Can you please let us know which PayPal addon you are using?

Regarding the PayPal button, we already have an addon for that as well:

Hi there,
Yes, PayPal is deprecating (ending) the Client-side only JavaScript SDK which will impact PayPal Smart Buttons integration (and other integrations). We have been in contact with PayPal and suggested that they email their merchants that are using the old integration (and Event Espresso) and recommend switching to PayPal Commerce (included in the core plugin).
So, the path forward is to just switch to PayPal Commerce.
