I am having an issue with our [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode. On the page that is to display the list of events (http://greenbankobservatory.org/event-registration/) the events appear to be nested one into another in a recurring loop. I have the following settings enabled using the custom template add-on:
Display prices: OFF (price was displaying as “0.00”, when it should have been “$6.00”, but that is another issue I guess …)
Short descriptions: Yes
display event address: No
Us custom post type: No
Display ‘Add to my calendar’: Yes
Display featured images: Yes

Also, with recurring events, I’m curious as to why the events start on Jan 1, I’d only want to show events coming up, but none from the past. For my calendar, I have it set to ‘show_expired=”false”‘.

At this time, we do not have the calendar view live (until all bugs are worked out), but it is available here: http://greenbankobservatory.org/calendar-test-ee3/

Hi there,

The nested events usually happens when using outdate templates, have you edited any of the templates?

Or are you loading custom templates from /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/?

I have the following settings enabled using the custom template add-on

I’m not sure I follow here, what have you enabled using the custom template add-on?

Also, with recurring events, I’m curious as to why the events start on Jan 1, I’d only want to show events coming up, but none from the past. For my calendar, I have it set to ‘show_expired=”false”‘.

It depends on how you have the dates setup within REM, can you post a screen show that shows the date setup within REM?

Fixed the nested issue (had some extra divs in a template). Other issue for REM settings:

I have a recurring event set to start on 1 January and run through 30 April, with separate events (open registration during that time) but do not want the past events to show up on my event list. [ESPRESSO_EVENTS show_expired=”false”] should do the trick, right?

Regarding: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS show_expired=”false”]

show_expired is set to false by default so you don’t need that parameter within that shortcode.

Your event’s registration end dates are set in the future – http://take.ms/eUvdE

Which means that although the event dates have passed you’ve set the event to remain open until that date.

How do you want registration to work on your events?

All events open from {now} and close on the day of the event?
