We are having an event and we need to have a few thing that most events dont do. I need to know if Event Espresso will meet my needs.
1. We need and option where people fully register BUT do not have to pay. They will pay at the door, we need to be able to either scan a ticket or print out a list to so we know who paid and did not pre-pay.

2. multiple options.
ex#1: $65 for 1 division Pay online
ex#2: $65 for 1 division Pay at door
ex#3: $80 for 2 divisions Pay online
ex#4: $80 for 2 divisions Pay at door
ex#5: $30 for ticket to 7:00 Fight Pay online
ex#6: $30 for ticket to 7:00 Fight Pay at door
and if the attendee want to pic ex#1 & ex#6 It will tell us that
they paid for division online but will pay for 7:00 fight at the door.

Please reply asap, I have a boss that has unreasonable expectations and wanted answers 2 hours before he asked!

Hi Jim,

Event Espresso will give you the payment status for each registration. So you can download the attendee list and review who has paid or not.

Do you want people to pay for some tickets (online sales), and not others (at the door payment) and register all at the same time? All your ticket options will need to be different types of tickets in Event Espresso. You’ll likely want to use the Multiple Event Registration addon (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-multiple/) to give people the option to purchase multiple tickets and/or for multiple events at one time. HOWEVER, Event Espresso will try to ask the registrant to pay for their entire registration online even if they have a (at the door type ticket) in their cart. Does that make sense?

You could use the Invoice payment gateway so people can bring their registration and pay at the door. With the Invoice gateway they could also receive instructions to make a payment after they submit their registration/ticket reservation.

Your request/application seems pretty complicated and difficult to handle in the same registration session. Let me know if you need more clarification.

We will be doing multiple event (like every 3 months) but we are wanting multiple options for each events. like paid on line and pay at door, as well as choosing multiple things at one transaction.
the biggest issue is… If they choose to pay at the door, do they still need to be sent to the paypay account and enter a credit card number to reserve their spot?

Jim,

They do not have to enter their cc info to reserve a spot if you set the default registration status to “Approved”.

we want to have our registration so we know how many people will attend. and we want to give them an option to pay online at registration or to register online and pay at the door.

Hi Jim,

This is possible by adding a credit card merchant gateway and the invoice gateway. The registrant can then decide whether they want to pay online, or at the door of the event.
