Two days ago … when trying to work on our event tickets, a fatal error was detected on our site with Event Espresso. We were unable to see any of the ticket information other than the I was advised to have EE manually update the EE plugin to our site. Please help.
Thank you,

Do you have the error log? I looked on your site and it seems you have problem with SSL? you can contact your hosting to fix the SSL, then we will work on the problem you have with EE.

we will be waiting for the error you log you received.

thanks

Can you fill this information and send it to us? If you have stagging site, that would be great.

You can downgrade it by going to your WP Dashboard -> plugin, then deactivate Then upload the older version.
You can use this link to download it.

There was report that 5.0.18 has problem with grid.

What was the problem with mailchimp and user integration?

thanks

Can you do the following. Let’s downgrade your EE version, then disable the updraft plus. Then check if your site has any problem?

You can use this link to download

Just download the 5.0.17.P zip and then go to Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> upload plugin.

Select the .zip file you just downloaded and upload.

WordPress should ask if you want top replace the current version with the one you just downloaded, do so.

Let us know if you experience any problem.

thanks

I’m afraid to disable updraft plus since I won’t be able to restore my site if another fatal occurs.

Hi there,

The problem here isn’t related to your host, hosting, server MailChimp itself or the version of Event Espresso core running. It’s related to our MailChimp integration and UpDraft Pro both using the same 3rd party library and the versions they are including to use.

I’m not sure why your host has spent that amount of time troubleshooting this as the error clearly shows this is from the EE MailChimp add-on throwing a fatal due to the Guzzle library Updraft is including in place of ours. It’s not related to the specific version number of UpDraft Pro you are using, it being the latest version they have doesn’t change the issue, unfortunately. The issue here is Updraft Pro (basic is fine) and the EE MailChimp add-on can not currently be used together on a site.

If you don’t want to deactivate UpDraft Pro then to access your tickets you’ll need to deactivate the EE MailChimp Add-on.

Where are they getting an issue from the WordPress User Integration? I don’t see any errors relating to it.

Right now the only way to properly fix it would be for UpDraft to update the version of Guzzle/GuzzleHTTP they include within their pro plugin OR we (EventEspresso) rename all instances of Guzzle/GuzzleHTTP and change the namespace to be something which then doesn’t conflict UpDraft, neither of those your host can help with.

The problem with that fix is UpDraft haven’t updated Guzzle in a long time, so I assume they will be reluctant to update (but they may not be) and if we take over the Guzzle library namespace that becomes something we need to maintain for every update.

So as it stands, to fix this go to Dashboard -> Plugins.

Find Event Espresso – MailChimp (EE4.4.5+) in the list and deactivate it.

That will mean your registrations don’t send to our MailChimp.com newsletter signups anymore but should give you access to your tickets again and leave Updraft doings its thing.

Hi Linda,

Please update the EE plugin to the latest version V.19 and see and let us know so that it would be easy to find if there is any conflict with the latest version.

You can update your EE version to .19, but its safe to test it to your staging or have your backup version with you.

thanks
