I meed to modify the comment string that seems to be auto generated for each order.
This is what our customers are seeing: Payment of 2 for 1043-287-1-789c
n
We would like the full name of the event to be on the comment.

May I ask is the comment string something you’re finding within a payment gateway account? If so which payment gateway?

I am unable to find where this comment is even being set. I am using the Bambora (N/A) payment method. This seems to be something that is automatically build by EE and sent to Bambora.

So you’re seeing the string within your Bambora account? In that case the string may be generated by the Bambora gateway. I do not have access to that particular gateway’s code so I’m not sure whether that can be changed.

I spoke to a contact at Bambora and they said that bambora just picks up information that is stored by the plugin. They are picking up the order number instead of the event name.
What we want -> ‘number of tickets’ for ‘event name’ – ‘date’.
What Bambora is currently picking up -> ‘Payment for ‘event number’.
Would you know why the format of this string changed?

Hi,
I can advise to contact the developer of the Bambora gateway plugin. We actually didn’t develop the Bambora plugin so I do not have the code in front of me to look into this further.
