Purchased EE4 for a client who wanted to use the mobile app only to discover that it wasn’t available for EE4. We need to change our license. Please help! Need to get this site up online in the next week or so.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

We can apply your EE4 license towards an EE3 license if you wish to do so.

However can I ask excactly which functionality of the mobile app they need?

Is it just scanning tickets? (The EE3 app can pull up information on the attendee as they check in so this could be an a required feature)

The reason I ask is it is actually possible to scan ticket using an Android device without a need for a physical barcode scanner. This works in the exactly the same way a barcode scanner does and it NOT a full integration in the same form as the EE3 app, so depends on what exactly the requirements are.

They want to be able to barcode scan tickets from paper or devices with an Iphone or Android. They do not want to have to purchase barcode scanners. I sold them EE on the idea that all they’d need to do barcode scanning was an Iphone. Per your sales video,.. which I realize now was for EE3. When we first looked at the plugin,.. it was EE3,.. By the time they got ready to by,.. it was EE4.. I just assumed that EE4 was a better upgraded version of EE3 with all the same functionality. But it’s not.

And yes,.. I’m sure they they will want to pull up info on the attendee is they have to.
