Just looking to see if EE is what is best for what we are trying to do.
A quick over view on what we are trying to accomplish:
A event staffing website where users log in and see what jobs are coming up and then they apply to work at the event. The user then can see all the events they are registered to work at.

What we need specifically.
* different roles that the user can apply for (i was thinking of using ticket allocation for that so have different tickets for the different roles)
* User can select more than one ticket(once again ticket allocation will be our roles) at once
* Admin can accept or decline the user application and an email is sent to the user telling them
* Admin can upload files to the event that ONLY ACCEPTED USERS can see
* Once the user has been accepted if they decided to not go the admin gets an email saying that specific user has declined
* When users log in to the website they come to members page that has all the upcoming events on a calander and all the events they have been accepted for
* I can change the ticket name with in php to role allocation
If you could let me know if these things are possible that would be fantastic

Hello,

EE3 (plus some Add-ons’) offers functionality to suit some of your requirements although custom development work will be need for some parts.

* different roles that the user can apply for (i was thinking of using ticket allocation for that so have different tickets for the different roles)
* User can select more than one ticket(once again ticket allocation will be our roles) at once

Each event can have multiple ticket types however to allow selection of multiple Ticket Types in a single registration requires the Multi Event Registration Add-on which will allow the user to add the event to a cart and select multiple ticket types from that event.

* Admin can accept or decline the user application and an email is sent to the user telling them

There is an Attendee ‘Pre_Approval’ feature which basically holds the registration within the events attendee list until the Admin has approved it. Is there a fee for these ‘events’?

* Once the user has been accepted if they decided to not go the admin gets an email saying that specific user has declined

With the WP User Integration Add-on (Also called WP Members) your users can cancel their registrations, however the admin will not currently receive a cancellation email when they do so.

* When users log in to the website they come to members page that has all the upcoming events on a calander and all the events they have been accepted for

This also ties into the WP Members Add-on in that the events they have registered onto can be displayed within the Admin (or Front-end) using the ‘My Events’ section. This is a table view rather than a calendar.

* I can change the ticket name with in php to role allocation

Can you explain a little more what this means please?

In a nutshell, Event Espresso can handle most of what you need, but it is not designed to work exactly as you have requested.

You can test out some of the features using our Test Drive site:
