Hello – I am using EE4 to setup an event that is launching soon. I have a few last questions before we can do so and I need some support help. Here is an example of the event: http://www.sportsofficiatingsummit.com/events/sports-officiating-summit-2015/ It’s got multi tickets, under one event. Here are the final questions I am getting: 1. Could we not have the email and titles as required fields for guest/gala/ball game attendees? Phone is okay. NOTE: Currently the email, title, association, phone are all required fields. 2. I signed up as a group of 3 with 2 guests and it allowed me to buy 6 ball game tickets. Not a big deal, I could fix it on my end, but if there would be a way make ballgame tickets not exceed the number of Summit event tickets that would be helpful. 3. If you go back to the first page to adjust your number of tickets/event, it wipes out any info you had already entered for the attendees. That could be bad! If we can’t fix that we’d need to warn them. 4. Can we limit the number of character spaces in the “Title” field to 40? Also, put a note below about that limit. Otherwise they get too long for badges. Thank you so much for your help in advance! |
Hi Marylou, here is feedback on your questions on Event Espresso 4:
Event Espresso needs a name and an email for each ticket or pricing option that is sold. You are asking about conditional questions based on ticket/pricing options. This is not currently available in Event Espresso 4 but it is certainly on our feature list.
Event Espresso 4 does not currently having conditional logic that adjusts a ticket option based on the option selected for another. We’ve started the process by introducing some advanced options such as required tickets, minimums, and maximums. We’ll take a look at some additional enhancements to the logic in a future release of Event Espresso 4.
This occurs as a new registration is started. We are working on a multiple events registration add-on for Event Espresso 4. Once that is ready, then the attendee information will remain until the registration is cancelled, completed, or until it expires due to abandoning the registration (starting a registration but not finishing it).
Character limits are not currently available. On the earlier releases of Event Espresso, members shared that some fields had a low character limit so we increased in for the question types in the core plugin. The current approach that you are using with some help text is a good workaround. Another area that you could add some help text is in the question group description field. That will appear after the heading for the question group. You can find that field by going to Event Espresso –> Registrations Forms. Then click on the Question Groups tab and click on the question group that you will like to edit. Be sure to toggle the show question group description before saving changes. Let us know if this helps! — |
