Hello. My client has been using EE (3&4) for quite some time and we have never required attendees to create an account. That said we would like to give them the ability to change classes before event date and charge a fee and adjust their original payment as needed. We would also like to send renewal reminder emails at a specified time usually annually for attendees that have taken specific classes. are these possible using EE4 |

We are willing to require account creation moving forward for this |

Hi there,
This can be done with the attendee mover add-on: https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-attendee-mover/ That allows you to ‘move’ a registration from one ticket to another, the ticket can be on the same event as the registration is currently on or another. You don’t need to create a WP User account for this as the admin is the only one who can ‘move’ a registration. So the ‘registrant’ would need to contact the admin who then moves the registration to the new ticket. If the price of the new ticket is more than the current ticket the transaction will show a balance difference which the user can then pay. (Side note – charging the user a fee for moving the registration isn’t currently within our feature set. However, you can create an ‘admin-only’ ticket (so its only visible to the admin and not your normal registrants) on the event which has a higher price than your ‘normal’ tickets… then move the registration onto that ticket and the user can pay the difference from a link sent in the payment reminder email)
A ‘renewal’? What would they be renewing in this situation? (I’m asking as EE doesn’t have a membership function which would need renewing so just checking this isn’t what you are asking for with this) Sending a reminder is possible, yes, but not automated annually. Can you add more details on the use case for this specific feature? I don’t want to lead you down the wrong path giving you the wrong info here. |

thank you the renewal is for annual and biannual certification classes that need to be taken to keep the certification current. |

Hmm, ok so you would need something custom for that as we don’t have a front end option for the attendee mover.
Ok, so its possible to trigger a message for all the registrant of a specific class, but it’s manual. What you would likely be better doing here is using something like MailChimp to build out audiences and tag them with the class they attended, then send a ‘newsletter’ from Mailchimp activating as a remainder. Both are manual but a service like MailChimp is more suited to sending out mass emails. |

Thank you |
