Hi!

The order function in the “Name” field, although uses the “ATT_fname” as a sort condition, returns results sorted by the last name.

Is it this way on purpose?

Thanks

Hi there Goncalo, yes it does a sort by last name first and then first name.

Hi Lorenzo,

Is there any type of restrictions in the search box in this page? We are trying to search using only the first name (“Ana” is this case) and it doesn’t return any records although we have a lot of attendees with this name…

If we search for a name with more than 3 letters it works!

Thanks,

Josh

Hi Gonçalo,

I checked on this and there doesn’t appear to be restrictions to the search box. When you do a search for Ana, does it display the message outlined in this screenshot:

Hi Josh,

I just understood the issue here. It shows the string as in your print screen.
What is happening is that this string can also exist within the event name and this causes some confusion – how can I restrict the search to the whole word only?

Thanks

Hi Goncalo,

These are searched through the search option:

Event Name (title), Event Description, First Name, Last Name, Bio, Email, Address, Comments, Notes, Registration Final Price, Registration Code, Registration Group Size, Ticket Name, and Ticket Description.

Are you looking for a way to restrict the search parameters? If so, we can create an enhancement ticket for the development team to review.

Hi Lorenzo,

Thank you very much for your reply.

The search uses a lot of fields that are not immediately visible and this caused a some confusion in our Admin users – I think that it would be very useful to be able to define if the search performs as a wildcard or whole word.

Given this I will close this issue but will remain waiting for this improvement.

Thanks,
