EE4: We would like to print attendee name badges and include a QR code that can be scanned by other attendees to obtain attendee contact info (name, company, email address). I’ve seen a few posts on the topic – one mentioned creating a custom ticket that can be used as a name badge, one mentioned using an outside service, and the third was something about using Google charts that I couldn’t quite follow. These were all older posts though. Is there any updated guidance on how to best accomplish this?

The printable tickets add-on we have within Event Espresso was not originally intended to be used for Name Badges, we have discussed the possibility of adding another template for it but no changes as of yet.
The solutions you’ve posted are what we would recommend you use for this if you need it now.
The simplest of the above is to use Google Charts:
Which is just generating a QR code from the values passed using the Google Charts API.
